The Principle of Rhythm – A Conversation with Paul Walker

K: (he sits in the chair and I’m watching as he does) Honestly, a new low.
P: She talks.
K: Really…a new low.
P: I do what I have to. Plus, things are coming around again. We have work.
K: I am always working.
P: Could’ve fooled me.
K: You’re…seriously…is this what we’re doing? We’re doing this today?
P: (stares) Just trying to light you up. Light a fire.
K: I have been creating. You’ve seen it. You’ve been friggin’ involved!
P: There is that and there is this.
K: Fine. But go slow. At least Simon was understanding about where I’m at.
P: So is Chris but here we are.
K: Awesome. (sarcasm) I will just take it as you’ve missed me.
P: Something like that.
K: What are we on today? Hermetics?
P: It’s something that we started. I’d like to continue.
K: Do you understand what that sound like? Something you would like to continue. What if I don’t want to.
P: First of all, you’ve been looking at the blog to see what’s next. Second, what else? We’ve been at this a long time.
K: Fine. You’re right. Let’s do this. I got the message that you would like to talk a little bit about rhythm.
P: I think it’s pretty obvious. Everything has its rhythm. Everything has its place. Everything has its part to play in the world. Sometimes it’s very active. Sometimes it’s very dormant. The ocean moves with the current, but the ocean also moves with the moon. Everything has its cycle but rhythm is kind of different. It’s not so much about a spinning wheel. It’s more about moving in and out and around.
K: Okay. Possibly up and down?
P: Yeah. For sure. The rhythm of life is more that linearity that people are constantly looking for and life’s rhythm is what’s felt more in terms of intensity. Some people are addicted to the action. Some people are addicted to the inaction. That’s more about avoidance or wanting inclusion…to be included. That middle ground…(shakes head) it’s not good enough.
K: You’re sort of showing me that music…that early primitive music…I’m using that word a lot today…was built or created from the rhythm of the world around them.
P: Yeah. I mean, consider it for a second…if there is a piece of music that feels like the tides of the ocean, people naturally gravitate to it. People are starting to listen to beats or rhythms in…like…(thinks) 8D sound. These sounds bounce off different areas of that brain.
K: Yes.
P: And it sounds awesome. It sounds like it’s hitting all the spots to amplify whatever it is that someone wants amplified. Studying something or calming or reading…concentrating…these kinds of sounds hit all the right areas of the brain because the brain carries within it…that natural rhythm of the world. The closest that sound can get to the natural rhythm of this planet, the happier someone becomes when listening to that.
K: For sure.
P: The heartbeat follows a natural rhythm and sometimes, when it doesn’t, there is illness. Stuff like that. I would like to see people flow more with the rhythm of the world. Really get in touch with that rhythm and this includes the seasons as well. You’ve seen those posts about January isn’t really the start of some new year. January is still cocooned in that stillness…in that pause but people don’t necessarily want the pause. They want the action so in always needed to be a part of the action, they are neglecting the natural pause…the slower rhythm…the slower beat of January where internally…in the rest…things can’t be missed. Sometimes these are important things and if you’re constantly trying to be busy…important things can be missed.
K: Okay.
P: Women are real good at getting in touch with the rhythm of nature. Women are real good at that sensuality that comes with rhythm. They give themselves that freedom to move in those rhythms as part of their contribution to creation. If you watch a woman that is really in touch with the rhythm of life around her, she gets real sexy. She gets real sensual because that is the flow of life around her. Life is meant to be sensual. Not rushed. Sure, in spring…it’s a bit more rushed. Wand’s energy is that rush of the new. But it’s still creation. Men…we just want. We want the instant gratification. The rhythm for the masculine is that primal, self-satisfaction…survival. The feminine is more about the thriving but both are required and that’s where the rhythm of the masculine and feminine combine into one whole working thing.
K: Again, these principles all sort of fit together while still being separate. Because we talked about the gender aspect before.
P: Absolutely. They tell a whole story. For sure. In general though, I’m going to talk about the flowing of the tide for a second. Because everyone knows the tides…especially those on the coast.
K: Yeah.
P: If you are in tune with the natural tides of life…the flowing in and out, a person can easily handle what life is ready to bring and what isn’t ready yet to flow to someone. People like it when the tides flow towards them. It’s easier to surf those waves and have a good time. People tend to get nervous when the tide is out. They get nervous about what’s coming toward them and if they can handle it. The principle of rhythm is…God doesn’t give anyone…anything that they can’t handle. God understands the rhythm of anyone because God knows their name. Rhythm is probably one of the most coolest principles. (pointing to me)
K: Personally, for me, the rhythm of life is also about the connections within that. Like, you hear that saying that someone is in your life for a reason, season, or for all time. It’s like something that’s sympatico.
P: And that’s where rhythm meets vibration and sometimes that vibration and rhythm will meet up and connect for the whole of a life or it can come in and out. What’s cool is that when it comes in and out…it’s like the tide and the water that comes with the tide is always different. It’s never the same so if someone is expecting connection with someone to stay the same, it’s impossible. It can’t. Everything changes with earth’s rhythm as well as the rhythm of what’s above and around…what people term as the universe, space, or heaven.
K: And yet…you’re still here.
P: (smirks) We’ve changed. We’ve had space. One of us sometimes backs the hell off. (hint, hint) But we always come back. That’ the true meaning of love.
K: Awe. You’re kinda cute when you’re sentimental. (laughing) Is rhythm always equal? Because I don’t think it is.
P: Rhythm is always equal. If something is thrown off…let’s take a tsunami for instance. The waves or the currents of the ocean are doing their things. But then the earth shakes under that water. The rhythm’s disturbed and to balance that out again, the tsunami wave rises and crashes. There is extreme to extreme until the extremes balance out and it’s in natural flow again. Rhythm is a constant and it’s always equal. Vibration is different. If Rhythm is interrupted, it has to come back from those extremes…back into balance.
K: Is that why people tell others to try to stay centered? So they aren’t carried away but the extremes?
P: And it’s a hard lesson sometimes. It’s hard not to get carried away by your extremes or another person’s extremes. The lightworker…they are the ones that are meant to stay centered. They are the lighthouse. They are the strong center that lights the way when the world seems to be going a little nuts. If a person can maintain that equilibrium themselves, the extremes won’t have that cause and effect so much.
K: Then everything is equal but the intensity is always matching.
P: It has to. Emotions…there can be little highs and lows…that’s normal. They always equal each other. When someone feels great, they will feel bad sometimes. It’s maintaining that flow that emotions can generally be kept at an even keel. It the manic that sends people over the edge and others can’t quite connect with that intensity or that mania. There’s an imbalance there.
K: If we’re talking mental health, that’s where the meds come in?
P: Not always meds. There is an external force or…support that helps to try to get those emotions back into a balance that can be lived with. Homeostasis…a pretty stable middle ground with ups and downs sometimes but it can easily get back to middle. That is the goal. With anything within that corporeal that can be kept in a natural state of rhythm…that is the easiest way to connect with the spirit because spirit is always in that natural middle ground. It’s just spiritual middle ground feels like bliss to someone that would come to my side. Life and death is the natural rhythm but death is somewhat of an extreme in the beginning so it’s met with a life that looks very different as that new extreme. When someone first dies…especially unexpectedly…it takes a bit to find and re-learn that natural flow of this different state. But then it comes back to balance after a while. The rhythm is that natural give and take energy. It always has to be balanced. If it’s not, it can turn extreme real quick. Birth is just as extreme…just on the opposite side of that line.
K: For sure.
P: If people can connect with rhythm…a balanced state, then the vibration can be maintained and even increase because there is nothing to intervene in that connection. Like everything in the body…this is all connected.
K: Do we use extremes…like feed into them? Maybe people want to fix them?
P: That’s the whole reaction vs. response that is so important to me and what we talk about with people in readings. Reaction is the extreme and is met with someone else’s…extreme and that builds. The response is taking that step back or that beat before you dive in to know what’s worth the energy and what’s not. That’s the energetic homeostasis. When you can maintain this level of cool while in the midst of someone’s heat…that heat won’t burn, and the cool is their’s to deal with. When that man and woman come together…it’s in a natural rhythm…mostly. I mean…no one said anything bad about trying something new. (winks and sticks out his tongue a little bit)
K: Awesome. Thank you for the image.
P: That climax for both happens with that steady rhythm from both parties. Respect from both parties. Honor from both parties. If that balance of give and take isn’t just right, one’s satisfied…the other is not and the one that’s satisfied is usually impatient and a bit selfish. Only in my opinion…not saying anything…it’s just my opinion.
K: Huh. Interesting that you would say that. Very interesting.
P: (glares) Don’t start.
K: You started it!!!
P: It has always been an equal give and take here.
K: Um…no. Sorry. Uh uh.
P: What do you mean? You…
K: Wanted it?
Get your mind out of the gutters people. We’re talking about starting to work together.
K: You BEGGED me.
P: I did not beg. I asked a few times.
K: You followed me! You showed me Mollie and Zoey!
P: I had tools to convince. I did not beg or plead. You said yes. If I recall…you said yes numerous times.
I hear him teasing me about his celebrity life and my…not so much celebrity life.
K: Get over yourself. We could do this all day. You wanted me. End of discussion. You stalked me. You even wrote about it.
P: (stares at me) Fine. I did. A little bit. I don’t regret it.
K: I don’t either. You’re pretty cool…mostly.
P: (chuckles) Thanks.
K: Okay. That’s four. We’ll see about continuing later? I have to run and get a tire replaced. Weekend’s kind of busy though. Probably won’t be until next week.
P: I know. I get you when I can…but…feel like roof sitting?
K: Would love to. However, it’s cold over here. I’d rather go over there.
P: I’ll be waiting.
K: Awesome. See ya.
P: Love you, Mrs.
K: Love you. Later, gator.
P: Bye.
