Human Condition Meets Calamity – A Conversation with Anthony Bourdain

K: Hello.

A: (grins and waves) Hello. How’s life?

K: Life is good. It’s just going along as per usual but, to be honest, I’ve had a bit of anxiety over the last few days. My husband has been feeling the same thing. Thoughts?

A: Preparation. Turn of events. It’s something that you’re picking up from the collective and not just something that’s going to turn your personal life upside down. You’re whole household is…(shakes head) fuckin’ intuitive it’s scary. I can’t even imagine what would happen if you all put that together.

K: Very doubtful that would happen only because we all have different paths under that umbrella of what people term spirituality. What would you call that?

A: Call what?

K: Spirituality?

A: Uh…(scratches at his unshaven chin/neck area) the human condition meeting…I don’t know…the human condition stuck in the middle of calamity.

K: (laughing) Dear God. That’s a little intense.

A: I mean…if you consider spirituality where I am…it can cause mountains to fall and rivers…oceans to flood with one swipe of the finger. The human condition…this power is given in small doses until people grow up.

K: How’s the growth?

A: (nods his head back and forth considering) On track. I would say. But the last couple of years have thrown people for a bit of a loop…thinking one way, believing another, manifesting a lot of…what the fuck…unexpected. I think, for people, the manifestation abilities are wild. They try to tame them, but manifestation energies are hard to tame when people are reaching the levels that they are.

K: Here’s a question…

A: Yup.

K: Calamity…when people consider the word…it’s felt like a devastation.

A: Not necessarily. Calamity is just things reaching a peak before the next run and the next run. Things continue until they reach a peak and then they continue again. The human condition is always hiking a mountain range and sometimes that mountain range has deep dives into those glacier lakes that meet the ocean. People are always trying to reach the ocean, and some do but on the other side, there are more mountain ranges. And when I say that I can feel the eye rolling. But from where I am…people love it. The soul and the spirit love it. This planet and a lot more like it are the greatest adventures and if you want to expedite the whole spirit’s…evolution, you choose planets like this.

K: But some people are here…not for the schooling but to anchor.

A: Absolutely. There’s no arguing that.

K: Is some of the schooling about…being spiritual or being psychic or uncovering magic on a planet like this?

A: Part of it is…for those that chose to live an existence to remember stuff like that. To get over the fear of actually admitting they are these people on a planet with a race that has a bunch of trust issues. But more times than not…that’s the energy that’s anchoring…holding down the fort of the whole thing.

K: What’s the percent? The split of the anchor vs. the students?

A: Uh…probably…35 anchor to 65 students.

K: Wow. But is everyone students out of that 65?

A: Nope. Some are just here to stir up the experiences that the students have to work through. They’re the chemicals in the chem lab. They’re the books that require the book reports. Remember those?

K: Ugh! Yes. What a pain in the ass. Especially if you don’t like the book.

A: (laughs)

K: Something that’s been on the brain…and I think it’s something that I have struggled with since the beginning…

A: Yes.

K: Obligations in spirituality. I can’t keep up.

A: Because they’re always changing. I think the big calamity of this time is stepping out of the follow the leader line and people taking a moment to really consider what’s best for the individual that’s been marching in formation for so many years. There’s been a big time focus on high and low…energy and vibration…what a person has to do to connect with the high and they look at it as something external to them. But it has little to do with the external and everything to do with internal. For example…and I’m not a religious or spiritual man…

K: Totally.

A: Food. Right? There are categories that food and drink are put in. High or low vibration and energy and the categories are based on different people and where they are at.

K: Sure.

A: All good. Because where the individual’s at is how deeply they’ve met themselves.

K: For sure.

A: But…how I was saying…okay…(pauses) spirituality where I am…can make mountains fall…the power…and the abilities. I wouldn’t. There are laws…but you get it.

K: Yep.

A: Then, if I can make a mountain fall…why can’t a simple act for someone be…if spirituality is that powerful but it’s given in doses to people or…it’s uncovered in doses within people…that’s better.

K: Yes.

A: Why can’t they change the vibration and energy of what they ingest if it’s done with their highest and best and not out of guilt or shame for ingesting something that others have put in their personal categories? See where I’m going?

K: Totally.

A: And as I say that, there are some in that line that will use that as an excuse to indulge in things that might be…just not okay. And that’s where they’re at in their journey and that’s something they need to experience until they are in a place within themselves to now start looking at behaviors.

K: Wow.

A: The only way anyone is going to sift through the obligations of the umbrella of spirituality is to step out of formation and becomes the deserter and the usurper because each individual is sovereign and it’s within their right to take back their power from what’s not working or fulfilling or keeping them under a supposed thumb.

K: I see a lot of that going on in the world. I see a lot of books that need book reports and a lot of chemicals in those class experiments. Holy heckin’ poop do I see a lot.

A: (laughs) Why do you think that is?

K: I would hazard a guess that it’s because…we’re being supported in stepping out of formation because we’ve almost reached the ocean.

A: Exactly. And the equipment that are the learning tools are going all Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and scrambling to continue to be relevant. Relevancy is a very delicate thing.

K: Tell me about it!!! It totally is.

A: Just imagine for a second…when all the students (snaps his fingers) become deserters and usurpers and use that sovereignty as a support system towards the building of humanity and the human condition instead of fear and violence tearing it down.

K: Is that coming?

A: Sooner than you might believe.

K: It’s sort of hard to believe. I feel like people are talking about the fire horse year as some preparation for war. The peace will be there but to prepare for some battle.

A: Look…astrology, whether it’s Western, Indian, Chinese…Aztec…whatever…it’s energy available and it’s how you use that energy. It not a said and done type of thing. If people are holding on for dear life and expecting the worst, they will see the worst. If people release their grip and have faith that all is going according to some divinely orchestrated plan, and they want to support that orchestration…there will be some really awesome surprises. But that’s the choice and right now…it’s more of an either/or than people would like to admit.

K: Horses were everywhere for me a couple of years ago.

A: There are some people that are living out energies one step ahead of everyone else. Those are the anchors. They have to anchor the energy to the earth before it can play out. To some, it would feel unfair, but I think…by just watching that 35%...and me (gesturing to his chest) being a part of that 35%...it’s a privilege…something that you wouldn’t want to say no to.

K: But you can. There is always that choice.

A: You can…but they always come back. (winks) They just needed a vacation.

K: We all need vacations.

A: Yes. Even ghosts like me need a vacation.

K: What have you been doing?

A: A lot of book reports. (sighs)

K: Boring.

A: From here. Not so much. So…what’s happening today?

K: Work and driving through more snow. You?

A: I’ll watch you work and drive through snow.

K: Nice. (sarcasm) Thanks. I appreciate you just standing and watching and not offering help.

A: (grins) Who said anything about not helping. Come on. You know better than that.

K: Meh. (shrugs) Only sometimes. I gotta jet. See you later, Tony.

A: See you…(rubs his hands together) And the calamity begins…(evil laugh)

He leaves as I shake my head and chuckle to myself.
