The Fairy, Stirling

K: Good morning, Stirling. I can never remember the spelling of your name. Either i or e.

S: You would not be able to spell it correctly anyway as your keyboard…your alphabet does not have the symbols or the letters that you require to do so.

He’s been sitting calmly and waiting for a bit. He seems unbothered by having to wait.

K: Good to know. Thank you for the validation of your presence.

S: You are very welcome. How are you? How have you been keeping?

K: I’m good. Things are good. How have you been keeping?

S: (raises his eyebrows and sighs heavily in a good but overwhelming way. he’s smiling.) Things have been very busy. There has been an uptake of visits from various systems of your stars, and I have been busy with that. There has also been quite a movement within the idea…or the depictions of my realms. It has drawn me to…answer questions within your realms.

K: I think I know what you’re going to talk about.

S: I know you are aware of what I wish to speak of.

K: Are you going to give us shit?

S: (raises his eyebrows) On the contrary. It’s quite enjoyable. However…(shift and sits forward a little bit) I feel as if a congratulations for you…(gestures to me with both hands) is in order or am I premature in my offering that to you?

What? I don’t know what that’s about.

K: Yeah…I have no idea what that’s about, but I’ll take it anyway. Congratulations accepted.

S: (shakes his head a little) Time…when crossing into your world, I find that I am more and more ahead of things than what they actually are. In any event, I will be the first.

K: I’ll take it. Thanks, handsome.

S: You’re very welcome.

K: So, my social media feed…for whatever reason, is full of this thing called BookTok. I think that’s how it’s spelled.

S: Yes.

K: And I’m just going to put it out there…fairy smut.

S: Fairy…smut…?

K: Yes. That’s the term. It’s more about fantasy fiction about fairy realms and it’s not always about fairies but there are like…dragons and elves and…minotaurs…all sorts of mythical creatures.

S: (shows surprise in his face) Minotaurs? Are you sure?

K: Well, I haven’t read the books. I just see the feed on the social media platforms. Do you know any minotaurs?

S: I know…across the waters there are many, but they rarely travel here. Only if there is occasion to do so.

K: Oh. Good to know.

S: But this is a fantasy…dream of individuals? To connect with this energy?

K: I guess so. I guess your research didn’t see that?

S: I admit…I only did slight research. As I said, I have been quite overwhelmed with general…duties pertaining to the visits from the skies.

K: Cool.

S: Fascinating. Truly. (he’s deep in thought) Humans are so fascinating. Where their desires take them. Extraordinary.

K: (laughing)

S: Elves…Yes. Absolutely. They are quite the limber romantics but minotaurs are quite…brutish.

K: (laughing hard) Seriously dude…these things exist?

S: Oh, yes. Yes…

I can’t stop laughing. He’s super confused and trying to understand how that would work…relationship wise. He keeps whispering to himself and watching something that I can’t see.

K: A question popped into my head while I was making coffee. It’s probably off topic.

S: (turns his attention back to me) Mmm?

K: Is there a difference between the dragons of the angelic realms and the dragons of the fairy realms.

S: The dragons of the fairy realms are only an earthly manifestation of the angelic realm but in that formation, they become wild. They have an animalistic trait that wakes within them once they incarnate. Other than that, they are the same. The representation of them…on earth…creates an added…

K: Spice?

S: (grins) Yes. Spice. They are not the most docile of species. They cannot be tamed. They are patient…up to a point.

K: Cool. That makes a lot of sense. They humor people.

S: Yes.

K: Got it. Anyway, back to the fantasy. Why do you think that people gravitate to that type of literature?

S: I believe these people contain, within them, a broader sense of possibility or they are very aware of our existence which requires no proof because their belief is so strong.

K: The idea of fairies…before we met…

S: Yes.

K: Was the whole gnome, fairy…cute little houses…dragonfly riders…Disney Peter Pan thing.

S: Yes. Well…there is that. I’ll share with you that when a fairy has a child and that child grows, that child is told fairy tales of the human world and so, until they are schooled, they also believe that humans are gentle souls that love puppies and kittens.

K: (laughing hard) And then, like us…that knowledge base matures.

S: Yes.

K: Oh my God! You’re hilarious today.

S: Thank you.

K: Is what’s portrayed in the books…for example, I just read about this woman that can change from wolf to gorgeous super model…of course…it’s a book and in books, all of you fairies are super sexy.

S: I like to think so, but I feel that humans need to give themselves much more credit for we feel the same about them.

K: Always?

S: Not always. And it is the same with humans, but we do find humans quite attractive and reach out to introduce ourselves when that attraction turns to possibility and potential.

K: Does that happen often?

S: No. It does not. But after my introduction to your realms of fantasy literature, I feel that it could be quite the potential moving forward and I feel, as my words are read…there will be attempts.

K: Do you see these realms…sort of mixing at some point on earth?

S: They would be mixing more frequently, yes.

K: And do you see the earth changing in this way where these realms and worlds will coexist and procreate?

S: I do, yes.

K: Crazy. I won’t even ask about timing though…tomorrow? Can it be tomorrow?

S: (chuckling and nodding) There is no timing to this right now but the introduction has been made with the literature that’s out there. Humans are creating the portal with their imaginations and that is where it all begins.

K: How frequently do you travel back and forth?

S: It’s daily now.

K: Has anyone seen you?

S: Only while I walk in public places and it is in passing and they are not aware who they have connected with.

K: Do you ever get the urge to tell them?

S: No.

K: (pause and watches) You’ve been in the bookstores!!!!

S: I have. In my research.

K: Wow.

He’s showing me entering a bookstore and before he’s entering, he’s holding the door for a young woman. Let’s just say she takes a second look.

K: What are your personal feelings on the uptake of fantasy readers?

S: There are several that I can share.

K: Please do.

S: (sits back and crosses an ankle over a knee while rubbing his bottom lip with a finger) People crave deeper connection. I find there are many people that are incredibly lonely and crave a deeper level of fulfillment in their connections…specifically in their romantic partnerships.

K: I see that.

S: People desire excitement…a certain thrill in their lives and an escape from the mundane.

K: Got it.

S: People want expression. Whether that be sexual, romantic, battle…they want expression for and with. They want to feel validated. They want to feel fought for. They want to feel possessed in a way that is that healthy divine feminine, divine masculine way.

K: I see a lot of male readers of these books too.

S: Yes, and the fantasy worlds can be played out in whatever way that feels true to who they are…to those who identify as male in your human realms.

K: In the realms of fairies, is there the LGBTQIA2s+…that’s the human acronym.

S: Yes. It is wildly more understood and accepted here.

K: Cool!!!! That is so cool!

S: We are who we are and that is accepted as so.

He says it very nonchalantly like why would it be any other way.

S: So, I do understand that humans of all walks of life would read these fantasy books and relate to them because they relate back.

K: Interesting. I just read some dark fantasy and it…the book came with some warnings. Check the trigger warnings.

S: Yes.

K: Does that dark…sort of…I’m only going to call it “safe trauma”…because I don’t have any other way to say it.

S: Okay.

K: Exist in the fairy realms?

S: It is of a different mindset. We are not human. We live differently and we have our way of life. This way of life can seem very dangerous to humans. It can, at times, seem violent. There are authors of these books that understand this concept and are able to depict it rather well in their stories. When a person is able to understand that they might be triggered within the pages of a book, and they dare to proceed, they proceed because they understand that the pages are a safe way to explore what has happened and to safely unravel that into a sense of closure and peace. This is not for everyone, and I do not sit here and pretend that there are very real and raw hurts within humans at this time. The strength and the resilience of these people is something to be commended. To even chance opening up triggers and moving forward into these realms is…admirable.

K: Thank you for that.

S: Of course.

K: Sometimes, the fantasy stuff can be pretty sexually explicit.

S: Yes.

K: Can you give your two cents worth of why that would be?

S: Hhmm…(thinks) The divine aspects…the feminine and the masculine…are very sensual in their own ways. They are very stripped down…naked…as it were. It is not the same as the term sexuality that you have in your realms. It is above and beyond and deeper within. When that is translated through works of fiction, it is translated as raw…untamed…and rather uncomfortable for those who are not comfortable with sexuality and sensuality within the human existence. Those that can tap into that, realize how much more…intimacy and sexuality can be and because of that, they crave that experience and they are very unapologetic about that craving. Regardless of the theme, those who feel that above and below…want to find that. It is easy to come by in your works of fiction because it can be excused as…not real. A form of escape that one can come back from and come back to reality. I would offer that your reality can sometimes be very…grey for those who are aware that there exists so much outside of that. When something plays with a person’s imagination, it unlocks what lives on the other side of reality and that, too, is very real.

K: Which can be a dangerous thing for people that just want to escape reality all together.

S: It is. There is a balance to be maintained until the worlds can safely cohabitate out in the open…as one would say. Without secrecy and without risk.

K: The authors that write the fantasy and because you’re fae…

S: Yes.

K: The fairy or the mythical fantasy…because there is the science fiction stuff too.

S: Yes.

K: Is there truth to it…from what you’ve looked into?

S: There is truth to it, yes.

K: Is there a percentage?

S: Unfortunately, no, because it depends on the author…how far they are willing to take it. The more out of the box they are willing to go…the more truth they are willing to explore.

K: What are your thoughts about science fiction?

S: It is another side to the coin…the same coin. Some wish to bring down experience from their voyages within various star systems while maintaining their scientific…logical minds. It is using their creative minds to stay relatively safe in the valid…logically based knowledge while the mythical…is somewhat taken lightly because these things cannot be proven so they simply cannot be. It is the bookends of lore.

K: Would you read science fiction yourself?

S: I have read your tales of science fiction. I do prefer some of that because it is within my…reach. I find it amusing however, I find it very…factual at times.

K: Wow…really. What’s more factual? Mythical fantasy or the science fantasy?

S: Both have their place. I would not subscribe to one or the other because they both have their place, and they both have their truth.

K: Then…that stuff out there…what’s being written with the mythical…does have some similarities and/or parallels to what you live as truth.

S: Yes.

K: And the raw and explicit-Barry-White-Let’s-Get-It-On moves…

S: (chuckling) Are you asking me to kiss and tell?

K: Totally! Why not!

S: (raises his eyebrows and shares a sheepish grin then winks)

K: (instant regret) Holy hell.

S: (holds out his hands) Why be bashful.

K: I haven’t read anything like that however…I have seen the hint hints. They call it spicy stuff.

S: Spicy? Again with the spice. Yes…I see. It does get rather hot.

K: Oh boy. (turning red)

S: I thought you wanted me to kiss and tell?

K: I do but not for me. It’s to keep this conversation interesting for the reader. I’m kind of like…dangling a carrot to see if they take it and the curious gets them to go explore a bookstore. My fantasy fiction is tame compared to what’s out there, but I wrote those books way long ago.

S: Well, I give those who wish to explore…I give my approval. I’m quite impressed with what they see of our world.

K: Have they captured a lot of it? Or…like…only a tiny bit?

S: A touch more than tiny.

K: Got it.

S: As I said, I’m quite impressed. I’m quite impressed that anyone would venture into our world and write about such things. I find people of your world to be very brave.

K: Well, I’m super stoked to know that the worlds could collide.

S: Not without its…how shall I put this…it will not be without its problems to work out.

K: Oh…highly likely. Have you turned on a TV and watched the news?

S: I do not require a television to be appraised of the situation humans find themselves in at this moment in time.

K: That’s the work you do? Earth and sky?

S: Yes. We are all being kept appraised of…your recent events.

K: Do you laugh?

S: (smiles and rubs one eye) No. We have our moments of concern, but things are very much in control even if humans believe it is somewhat out of control and out of their hands.

K: I just trust.

S: That is the best thing to do although trust is tread lightly over in case one should fall…as if trust is ice and one crack will bring the whole thing down.

He’s showing me the ice scene in the movie King Arthur.

K: Love that movie.

S: As do I.

K: Okey doke, your highness…thanks for popping in.

S: It’s always my pleasure to connect with you. Always.

K: Lead me to a book that will show me more truth than fiction.

S: (nods approvingly) Your invitation is something I look forward to helping with.

K: Awesome. Love you, Stirling.

S: I love you as well, little one.

K: (hold up…suspicious) Who’ve you been talking to?

S: I’ve spoken with many…knights.

K: (grinning and shaking my head) Love you, Stirling.

S: I love you. Be well.

Watches as I see myself walking away.
